A Matter of Priority at Insure Group

Insure Group recognises workplace ethics as a core business value. Business Ethics is a strong measure of organisational integrity which reflects the company’s culture, strategy, business goals, policies, objectives and activities. In support of this core value, all Insure Group Staff were trained during October 2012 on “Business Ethics” and “Emotional Intelligence”.

ASTROTECH, a leading training service provider has been contracted as efforts to ensure staff development by organising several training courses according to the needs of the business.

“By keeping a concerted focus on training programs, Insure Group is investing in its most valuable asset - its people - to ultimately reach their full potential in support of the company’s growth and success”, said the Human Resources Manager, Sarie Breet.

Terri Milton (Astrotech) with Thenjiwe Mthethwa-Phiri, winner of the “Best Assignment” prize

Special emphasis is being placed on leadership development to support succession planning and second line management. During 2012 Insure focused on coaching every Supervisor through a professional coach Michael Cooper from Coaching Unity. After thorough assessments, analysis, individual feedback and group sessions, Supervisors concluded their intensive development programme by submitting an assignment, which required them to demonstrate and apply skills obtained from the coaching.

ASTROTECH offered to sponsor the winner of the best assignment by donating a training course to the winner.

During a Staff Meeting on the 6th of December 2012, Terri Milton (Client Relationship Manager) handed the Prize to Thenjiwe Mthethwa-Phiri (Quality Control Supervisor) who submitted the best assignment. The prize consists of a unique two day training course on “People Management for new Managers”, which she will attend at the end of February 2013.
